FMK CLASSIC TASTER
The FMK Classic Taster gives you the opportunity to try three fundamental spirits from our range at a special discounted price. It contains 200 ml each of the RYE 095 straight rye whiskey (48,2 % vol.), the QUINOA 154 vodka (40 % vol.) and the GIN 206 london dry gin (48 % vol.). All three spirits are perfect for many classic as well as creative cocktails. And, of course, all three can and should also be enjoyed neat.
Rüdiger Sasse is one of the pioneers responsible for a qualitative turnaround in Germany’s Kornbrand. His Straight Rye Whiskey quotes American tradition and reinterprets it with regional ingredients from Münsterland. With a high rye content of 75 percent, it achieves a very dry touch. Rüdiger dispenses corn which is used in most American rye whiskeys. For saccharification he uses 25 percent malted barley. His rye whiskey is aged between five and eleven years, exclusively in barrels of American white oak, which have been medium toasted. At the World Spirits Award competition 2018 the predecessor of the RYE 095, the RYE 093 was awarded one of the rare double gold medals by the jury.
Georg Hiebl distills his grain and pseudo-cereal spirit in small batches in a copper still which was designed for the production of fruit brandies. This is how he creates aromatic spirits that highlight the sensory character of each ingredient. Thus the QUINOA 154 vodka is worlds apart from its many bland and faceless namesakes. Georg obtains his quinoa from an organic farm in the Mostviertel region that he’s friendly with. Before it is adjusted to drinking quality with spring water, the fine distillate is stored for several months.
Thomas Neubert is a particularly skilled distiller and sensory expert. Before he dedicated himself to the trade side of distillation at the small Schloss Zinzow estate distillery, he worked in the aroma industry. He developed the GIN 206 in close collaboration with Oliver Ebert. His Berlin based bar “Beckett’s Kopf” is considered one of the country’s best bars. In 2013, Oliver was named the Mixologist of the Year and “Beckett’s Kopf” was awarded the “Farm-to-shaker”-Award of the year 2018. Their GIN 206 combines the aroma of orange blossom and orange zest with those of ginger, bergamot, coriander, cardamom, and lavender blossoms. Thomas and Oliver made a conscious decision to limit themselves to ten botanicals which perfectly harmonize for the Freimeister gin. A neat tasting firmly establishes the spirit as a “New Western Style Gin”, a reinterpretation of the classic in which every botanical serves one king: gin’s true master – the juniper berry.
