The Freimeisterkollektiv is a grouping of individualists – an alliance of independent craft distillers and leading bartenders. Our customers should know what they drink. And from whom. The production of our products is subject to complete transparency.
Franck Audoux, owner of the Parisian bar >Cravan<, is a cocktail archaeologist and author. His specialty: the deep interaction between artistical avant-garde and modern bar culture in Paris during the Twenties and Thirties. His research inspired him to create an aperitive with orange notes and bitter aromas.

Author, bartender | Paris | France
Franck Audoux came onto the food and cocktail scene by accident while studying for his master’s degree in history. He has never looked back. After ten years as the director of a contemporary art gallery in Paris. Franck became a partner, manager, and original member of the team behind Le Chateaubriand, which opened in April 2006, followed by Le Dauphin. He also founded a series of cocktail pairing events entitled “In Good Company”, in which the creations of internationally renowned cocktail connoisseurs and bartenders are paired with food.
Having organized various bar related events and worked on a number of editorial collaborations, in 2018 he opened CRAVAN, a cocktail bar/café in Paris’ 16th arrondissement. Housed in a café built in 1911 by Hector Guimard. CRAVAN sees itself as a cross between a cocktail bar and a specialty café, focusing on quality in the glass, in the cup and on the plate.
Wine Maker | Province of Toledo, Spain
Alexandra Schmedes acquired the Bodegas Ercavio winery in 1999 together with two winemaker friends and renovated it. A few years later, they bought some land in Cabañas de Yepes and built a new winery, where excellent organic wines have been produced, bottled and stored ever since. Alexandrea and her fellow oenologists, Margarita Madrigal and Gonzalo Rodriguez, began working as consultants in 1998, supporting bodegas all over Spain. Together, they have amassed years of experience in wineries throughout the world: Spain (Rioja and Ribera del Duero), South Africa, Germany, France and Italy. By 2007, they were ready to launch their modern winery in Cabañas de Yepes. The continental climate of this region, with warm summers and cold, dry winters, creates the ideal conditions for optimal grape ripening. Alexandra wants to get the best out of the local grape varieties, resulting in high quality, premium wines.
Distiller | Berlin
Gerald Schroff has decisively influenced the German craft distiller scene with his Preussische Spirituosen Manufaktur. As early as 2007, the trained restaurateur revived with his partner Prof. Dr. med. Ulf Stahl is the Adler Gin brand and is thus considered one of the pioneers who have combined products of micro distilleries with the emerging bar culture. In his distillery in Wedding in Berlin he created in addition to the two flagships liquors Adler Gin and Adler Vodka, award-winning spirits and liqueurs.
